Corporate Social Responsibility

The advantages of running a Team Building day for companies are numerous and increasingly well known among HR professionals, especially its potential to improve participants' confidence, boosting their self-esteem and motivation, encouraging cohesion and teamwork, strengthening leadership and delegation of responsibilities, fostering effective communication, or training skills like creativity or results orientation.

Nothing new so far — we could go on about the benefits of this type of day, since they've been run in our country for more than two decades. That's why the need arises to innovate in this sector, not just in content, as is already happening with the rise of new technologies, but in its very essence. That's why Kaizen Coaching and Team Building, as specialists in corporate activities, incentives and Team Building, has added activities linked to corporate social responsibility to its service catalogue.

It's estimated that today, close to 29% of the Spanish population is at risk of social exclusion, according to official figures from the INE, with children being the most vulnerable population group. Society, and our clients in particular, expect companies to play an important role in developing and improving their community.

More and more companies are willing to invest in corporate social responsibility, to actively and voluntarily contribute to social, economic and environmental improvement. CSR is increasingly becoming a globally recognised metric. A business success factor that goes hand in hand with the modern company's ethical commitment to society and local communities — which undoubtedly boosts the company's added value and competitiveness.

When a company's leaders and managers steer it towards social responsibility, they're prioritising moral values, building loyalty, enriching the corporate and brand image, and contributing quantifiably to long-term corporate profitability.

What's more, participants highlight how empowered they feel, how rewarding and motivating it's been to contribute to a good cause, and how proud they feel to belong to a company that gives them that opportunity. Therefore, there's no better way to strengthen employees' sense of belonging than running a team building day with a CSR element included.

In our Charity Bike activity, participants, split into different teams, must overcome a series of challenges to get the parts for their brand-new bicycle, then assemble and decorate them. Finally, these bicycles are donated to children representing the foundations and associations we work with, creating a highly moving, empowering atmosphere.

Something is undoubtedly changing, and Kaizen wants to actively contribute to what we all owe to those most in need.
