Team Building
When we step outside our comfort zone, everything shifts. Our senses switch on, creativity surges, and our true selves come to the surface. Team Building activities work with these premises to boost individual skills and group spirit. Only good Team Building ideas manage to create a good atmosphere, inspire participants' initiative and bring out their best. And at Kaizen we know exactly how to achieve it:
This is one of our most requested and fun activities, aimed at designing, building and testing a cardboard Formula 1 prototype.
Each team becomes a racing outfit and must work together to imagine and build a complete race car with its bodywork, chassis and wheels. Then they'll need to put their design to the test, checking its structural stability as well as how comfortable it is to handle and drive.
Once the car is finished, a "human engine" will get it moving to compete against the other teams. In this race, it's not just the car's speed that counts, but also safety, pit stops and design. And there are trophies for each category.
Kaizen provides everything needed for the activity to be a success, both in terms of materials and tools, and in staff, so everything runs smoothly.
It's a very fun activity that combines teamwork and camaraderie, plus the thrill of a race full of unexpected situations.
PROGRAMME DURATION Approximately 3 hours GROUP SIZE 30 – 300+ TEAM SIZE 8-15 people per team
This activity is aimed at boosting leadership and a spirit of cooperation and teamwork in a difficult situation.
It's inspired by the authority, determination and loyalty of Ernest Shackleton, whose expedition had to survive two years in extreme conditions and unimaginable hardship that wore down their physical and, above all, emotional capabilities.
Frank Wild's words, one of the crew members, sum it all up: "Shackleton gave a speech to encourage the group, one only he could give. He told us, simply and in a few words, not to be alarmed by the loss of the ship and assured us that with effort, hard work and loyal cooperation we could make our way to dry land. This speech had an immediate effect, lifting our spirits and helping us view the situation with more courage."
In this activity, participants will experience an adventure that revisits the keys to this remarkable feat through different dynamics set within the expedition.
Parallels are drawn between the journey and the company's real situation, in order to establish commitments for improvement that will have an immediate effect on participants' performance.
PROGRAMME DURATION Approximately 7 hours GROUP SIZE 8 – 100
How would you react to an extreme stress situation? What if time is running out? This is the idea behind 'Defuse the Bomb', an activity where a calm work meeting suddenly turns into a movie-like experience: several "terrorists" burst into the room to plant a timed explosive, its countdown visible on screen.
After explaining their demands, the terrorists leave the room, making way for FBI negotiators, ready to act as intermediaries. Participants must overcome a series of challenges and difficulties to obtain the code that will disarm the bomb.
In the end, the different teams will need to collaborate, since sharing information can be key in this moment of crisis.
Defuse the Bomb is a highly original activity, different from other Team Building ideas — its challenges draw out an enormous amount of creativity and ingenuity from participants, with little to no physical activity required.
PROGRAMME DURATION Approximately 3 hours GROUP SIZE 20 – 300+
